Had lunches at two eateries (recommended by Biyu) in Yudanaka (lunch hours 11.00am-2:30pm). Asashinaya was near the railway station. Very good ramen. 700Yen a bowl. Even gave us a little handcrafted souvenier.

This was the other eatery we had lunch at. To the right side of Biyu Ryokan, just five minutes walk nearby. Very cluttered and crowded with furniture within, but well heated. Good ramen. Cheaper than at Asashinaya.
